Our Story

Six Decades of Craftsmanship, Partnership, and Problem-Solving

 

Established in 1968 by Harry Sitzberger, Protective Coating Specialists has built a reputation as one of the Midwest's most trusted names in industrial and commercial flooring. What started as a commitment to quality craftsmanship has grown into a family-owned business now led by second-generation owner Steve Sitzberger, who carries forward his father's guiding principle: "Treat every job as if it was your own."

For nearly six decades, we've partnered with manufacturers, food processors, municipalities, and Fortune 500 companies throughout the Midwest. Our team completes over 200 jobs annually, installing approximately 1 million square feet of protective coatings and polished concrete.
